2011 All-Patriot League Teams and Major Awards Announced

Center Valley, Pa. – Lafayette senior catcher A.J. Miller and Bucknell junior starting pitcher Ryan Ebner had never received an All-Patriot League selection coming into the season, but each student-athlete stood out during the 2011 campaign to take home the Patriot League Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Year honors, respectively, as the sport’s major awards and All-Patriot League teams were announced on Tuesday. 2010 All-Patriot League Baseball Teams and Major Awards


AndrewBrouseBucknell Center Valley, Pa. – The four teams that advanced to the Patriot League Baseball Tournament beginning this weekend also received the individual honors from the League’s coaches on Tuesday, as Bucknell, Army, Holy Cross and Lehigh each garnered one of the four major awards.

Bucknell senior outfielder Andrew Brouse earned Player of the Year honors, while Army senior pitcher Matt Fouch was named the League’s Pitcher of the Year. Holy Cross freshman catcher Stephen Wadsworth is the Patriot League Rookie of the Year, with Lehigh Head Coach Sean Leary as the Coach of the Year.

2009 Patriot League Awards

Center Valley, Pa. – The top three teams combined to take all four of the 2009 Patriot League Baseball Major Awards announced on Wednesday, with Army earning two honors and Holy Cross and Bucknell each claiming one award. Holy Cross junior third baseman Matt Perry takes Patriot League Player of the Year honors, while Army sophomore starting pitcher Ben Koenigsfeld was named Pitcher of the Year and freshman second baseman Zach Price claimed the Rookie of the Year award for the Black Knights. Bucknell’s Gene Depew was recognized as Patriot League Coach of the Year for the fourth time. The awards were voted on by the League’s six head coaches, who could not vote for their own team.
