Arizona State is appealing their one year postseason ban today in Dallas, Texas. The Sun Devils had multiple major violations under former head coach Pat Murphy. Pat Murphy, formerly of Arizona State, recently spoke with The Register-Guard about the violations that have been leveled against him and the Sun Devils program in the past couple of months. Arizona State Violations Outlined and Reaction

On Wednesday afternoon, the Arizona State Baseball program learned of their punishment from the NCAA after seven major violations and two secondary violations from 2004 through 2009. This was Arizona State’s ninth major NCAA violation in school history, with previous cases taking place in 2005 (football), 1997 (men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor track), 1988 (men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor track), 1986 (men’s basketball), 1985 (baseball, men’s gymnastics, wrestling), 1980 (football, men’s track (indoor and outdoor), 1959 (football) and 1954 (football). Arizona State and Pat Murphy to meet with NCAA

PatMurphy The NCAA is set to meet with Arizona State and Pat Murphy on Friday in Seattle according to a report from Jeff Metcalfe of The Arizona Republic. Pat Murphy was fired by Arizona State on November 20th by Athletic Director Lisa Love over the NCAA allegations that were getting investigated. (FULL ARTICLE)
