CINCINNATI – The University of Cincinnati baseball team has begun a synthetic turf installation project for Marge Schott Stadium that is scheduled to be completed on August 28. The project will remove the current playing surface and replace it with a state-of-the-art surface covering the entire field.
Cincinnati has selected local contractor The Motz Group for the installation. The Motz Group has been a provider of world-class athletic surfaces for nearly 40 years. If you’ve walked on a synthetic turf system in and around the region, there is a good chance it’s a Motz field. Continue reading →

Stony Brook University’s Joe Nathan came home to his alma mater and native New York State on Friday, October 28th to dedicate the team’s new baseball field. Nathan, a Pine Bush, NY native, gave the baseball program a $500,000 lead gift towards construction of the state-of-the-art facility in 2008. After months of anticipation, the third phase of renovations at Wake Forest Baseball Park is complete and the Demon Deacons are breaking in their new AstroTurf® field.
Wake Forest University purchased the half-century old baseball park from the Winston-Salem Dash in the fall of 2008. Although the facility had the perfect size and location, the previous owners had left the field in a state that was unsuitable for a competitive ACC team.
IOWA CITY, Iowa – - Carver-Hawkeye Arena isn’t the only facility on Hawkins Drive in Iowa City getting a facelift. After years of playing on the same surface, Duane Banks Field and the Iowa baseball program is in the process of getting a new field.
For the first time since the field was laid down three decades ago, the entire playing surface is being refurbished. According to Head Coach Jack Dahm, about 10-12 years ago the infield was re-sodded and a magic mix dirt was installed. But, as far as revamping the entire field, this is the first time the field has undergone a major facelift.
HOUSTON – The University of Houston baseball program recently completed repairs to Cougar Field in preparation for the 2009 season.
For approximately two weeks, Athletic Field Specialists were hard at work finishing a complete resurfacing of the infield, which was done to provide a better, truer playing surface. Fullerton, Calif. – Goodwin Field is getting a facelift over the holiday break.
Renovations to the home of the four-time national champions began on Tuesday, most noticeably in and around the infield. Titan Ring of Honor member, and former player and assistant coach Mike “Toad” Wilson and his crew, are giving the infield a much-needed make-over including a laser-grade and new infield dirt and turf. It is has been over 4 weeks since my last update on the new Field Turf going in at Disch Falk Field. Since my last update it shows just bare ground well today they have the New Field Turf laid out and ready for the final touches. They need to put in the cut outs for the base path and the pitching mound and also finish the warning track around the outfield. Continue reading →
Construction began today to install turf on the University of Maine’s Mahaney Diamond. A similar infill field turf that was placed on Morse Field and Mahaney Dome will be installed. Sargent Corporation is currently doing earthwork to prepare the surface for Northeast Turf. The project is expected to be completed by the end of the year. Continue reading →
