FROM NCBWA RELEASE Wichita, Kan. (NCBWA) — Forty-five players have been named to the initial watch list for the eighth annual National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Stopper of the Year Award, given to the top relief pitcher in NCAA Division I baseball, as announced by the association Wednesday.
The Big East conference is looking to “aggressively pursue” expansion according to commissioner John Marinatto after a five hour meeting with league presidents on Sunday. It was the first time that the league presidents have met since Pitt and Syracuse announced on September 16th that they will leave the Big East to the ACC.
