2011 John Olerud Award Watch List

Ten players are still competing for the College Baseball Hall of Fame’s John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Award.

2011 Season Preview: Seniors to Watch

There are a few seniors this year that have come back for their final season of eligible. One of the top hitters in the class is Paul Hoilman from East Tennessee State who won both the 2010 T.D. NCBWA Releases 2011 Stopper of the Year Watch List

Wichita, Kan. (NCBWA) — Forty-five players have been named to the initial watch list for the seventh annual National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Stopper of the Year Award, given to the top relief pitcher in NCAA Division I baseball, as announced by the association Tuesday.

Top 100 Countdown: 17. Mike McGee (Florida State)

College Baseball Daily continues our countdown to the start of the 2011 College Baseball season by checking in on the Top 100 Players in the country. We will be providing one player per day until we reach number 1.

We continue the list today with number 17 in our countdown with Florida State junior Mike McGee. He is from Port St. Lucie, FL where he attended Port St. Lucie High School. He served as a utility player in high school where he hit over .400 in three straight seasons. He was an All-State Honorable Mention selection as a sophomore and second team All-State as a Junior.
