ESPN.com is reporting that MLB is set to suspend 20 players including former Miami (FL) third baseman Ryan Braun and the namesake of the Hurricanes stadium in Alex Rodriguez for their connection to the Biogenesis of America clinic. Former Miami pitcher Cesar Carillo has already been hit with a suspension of 100 games in the minors in March but denied being connected to the clinic.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Oklahoma State advanced to the NCAA Louisville Regional final Sunday with a 7-1 win over Miami, but Louisville ended the Cowboys’ season by knocking them off by a 12-3 margin at Jim Patterson Stadium.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Oklahoma State earned its first NCAA Tournament win in four years Saturday as the third-seeded Cowboys advanced in the NCAA Louisville Regional with a 7-3 win over fourth-seeded Bowling Green in an elimination game at Jim Patterson Stadium.

I am absolutely tired of writing about these “Steroid” or “Performance-Enhancement” Drugs in College Baseball or any baseball. This has absolutely killed my interest in pro baseball and it is starting to filter into the college game. When I started writing on College Baseball many years ago, I was one of the few that actually covered the Steroid scandal with the Duke baseball team under former head coach Bill Hillier. A scathing report about a major Performance Enhancement Drug investigation in the state of Florida came out on Tuesday from The Miami NewTimes which includes many connections to the University of Miami baseball program. This isn’t the first time that the Hurricanes baseball program has had issues with performance enhancement drugs as Frankie Ratcliff was arrested in the fall 2009 for having 101 grams of marijuana and 19 vials of HGH on him.
