2013 NCAA Regional Projections (April 17th)

13regionalprojections_smAs we’re now well into the 2013 college baseball season, College Baseball Daily continues our countdown to Selection Monday with our latest 2013 Regional Projections.

For this week’s projections, instead of being solely compiled based on RPI like they have been done in past weeks, every aspect was taken into consideration. College Baseball Daily’s Ginger Poulson (@gingerpoulson) compiled this list after analyzing RPI, overall records, conference standings, overall talent and several other factors. Delaware State releases 2013 Schedule

J.P.BlandinDelawareState_thumb.jpgDover, Del. – Delaware State University has announced its baseball schedule for the 2013 season. The Hornets’ 51-game regular season slate will include 25 contests at Soldier Field on the DSU campus.

Delaware State will open the 2013 season with a four-game series at UNC-Charlotte Feb. 15-17. The following weekend, the Hornets will compete in the Rock Hill Coca Cola Classic, hosted by Winthrop University in South Carolina. In addition to Winthrop, DSU is scheduled to face Eastern Kentucky and Army in the tournament. Continue reading

Bethune-Cookman announces 2013 Schedule

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Bethune-Cookman Head Baseball Coach Jason Beverlin released the Wildcats’ 2013 schedule on Mon., Dec. 3.

Bethune-Cookman’s 55-game regular season schedule includes 20 games in the friendly confines of Jackie Robinson Ballpark, and features seven games facing 2012 NCAA Tournament teams, each finishing the campaign ranked in the top 40. Continue reading

NC Central releases 2013 Schedule

DURHAM, N.C. – The North Carolina Central University baseball program has announced its 2013 slate highlighted by 34 contests inside the friendly confines of the Durham Athletic Park and only 19 games away from the Bull City as the Eagles look improve upon it second place finish in the MEAC’s Southern Division in 2012. Top 100 Countdown: 8. Peter O’Brien (Miami, FL)

College Baseball Daily continues our countdown to the start of the 2012 College Baseball season by checking in on the Top 100 Players in the country. We will be providing one player per day until we reach number 1.

We continue the countdown today at number 8 with Miami (FL) catcher Peter O’Brien. He is from Miami Gardens, Florida where he attended Braddock High School. He decided to attend MEAC school Bethune-Cookman. As a freshman in 2009, he appeared in 50 games (39 starts) while hitting .314 with four homers and driving in 30 runs. He was named a first team All-MEAC team member while being named a Freshman All-American by Louisville Slugger and Baseball America. Continue reading
