Top 100 Countdown: Number 92 Mark Pope (Georgia Tech)
The CBB continues our countdown to the start of the 2011 College Baseball season by checking in on the Top 100 Players in the country. We will be providing one player per day until we reach number 1.
We continue the countdown today at number 92 with Georgia Tech junior RHP Mark Pope. He is from Marietta Georgia where he attended Walton High School. He was a four-year letterwinner for baseball coach Shane Amos at Walton with a career record of 21-3. As a senior, he led the team to a runner up finish in the Georgia state tournament as he went 9-2 with a 0.63 ERA. He was selected in the 17th round in the 2008 MLB Draft by the Atlanta Braves but decided to head to Georgia Tech.
