Entering his senior season, Phil Maton had already put together an impressive collegiate career. As a freshman he was 8-5 with a 2.93 ERA in 89 innings. He was named to the 2012 Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American team. He led the team in wins, ERA and innings pitched. He led the Bulldog’s in ERA again his sophomore season at 2.70, while striking out 89 batters in 96.2 innings. RUSTON, La. – With the 2015 baseball season less than three months away, Louisiana Tech head coach Greg Goff has announced the upcoming schedule, which is highlighted by 29 home games, including eight weekend series at J.C. Love Field at Pat Patterson Park in Ruston.
LA Tech is set to play a total of 55 games in 2015, including 14 three-game series, four of which will be non-conference matchups, and 13 midweek contests over the course of the campaign. The Bulldogs will also face off against four opponents that made the NCAA Tournament last season as Southeastern Louisiana, Arkansas, Rice and Old Dominion reached the postseason in 2014. RUSTON — Freshman Benn Fairbanks not only pitched a solid game for the Blue Team (5-2), but his offense and defense gave him plenty of support in the 8-4 win over the White Team (2-5) on Sunday at J.C. Love Field.

FRESNO, Calif. – With a strong pitching performance and offense barrage of 42 runs, Fresno State completed a four-game sweep of Louisiana Tech on Sunday afternoon. La Tech managed just five hits against Bulldog pitching on Sunday as Fresno State won 8-0.

RUSTON, La. – Juniorhit home runs in each of his first three at bats as the Sacramento State Hornets defeated the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs by the score of 17-2 in seven innings on Thursday, April 3 at J.C. Love Field.
With the win, the Hornets improve to 11-15, 6-3 in Western Athletic Conference play, while the Bulldogs fall to 15-12, 2-6 in the WAC.
