Oregon’s KC Serna Suspended Indefinitely

In a release from the University of Oregon, it has been announced that 2010 All-Pac 10 Infielder KC Serna has been suspended indefinitely by the program:

EUGENE – Oregon junior shortstop KC Serna has been suspended indefinitely due to a violation of team rules, it was announced today by Oregon baseball head coach George Horton.

Serna continues to practice with the Oregon baseball team, and his return to game action is to be determined.

This is the second suspension for Serna. He was suspended last season for three games also for a violation of team rules.

KCSernaHeadshotOregonThe CBB continues our countdown to the start of the 2011 College Baseball season by checking in on the Top 100 Players in the country. We will be providing one player per day until we reach number 1.

We continue the countdown today at number 80 with Oregon infielder KC Serna. He is 6’0 185 pounds out of Ventura California as he attended St. Bonaventure High School where he was a three sport athlete for the Seraphs, playing football and soccer in addition to baseball. As a senior in 2008, he was the starting shortstop leading the team to a 26-5 record. He spent time on the mound as he went 9-1 record with 76 strikeouts. On the offensive side of the ball, he hit .500 driving in 30 runs to go along with 16 doubles, 3 triples, 5 home runs and 15 walks. He set several school records for career games played, RBIs, hits, doubles, steals and runs scored.

2010 Cape Cod Baseball League All-Star Game Recap

The Cape Cod Baseball League hosted the 2010 All-Star Game at Fenway Park on Wednesday evening. The Western Division picked up a 5-0 victory over the East behind a strong pitching performance from the Western Division All-Stars. 2010 Cape Cod All-Star Game Starting Lineups

The coaches have put out their starting lineup for the game and announced the starting pitchers. Austin Wood from St. Petersburg and the Cotuit Kettleers will get the ball for the Western Division while Andrew Gagnon from Long Beach State and the Brewster White caps will get the ball for the Eastern Division. 2010 Cape Cod All-Star Game Rosters Released

CCBL_ASG_Logo_2010_250 The marquee collegiate summer league all-star game will take place on July 28th from Fenway Park in Boston Massachusetts with the Cape Cod Baseball League All Star Game. The Cape Cod Baseball League recently announced the 2010 All-Star Game rosters which feature some of the best pro prospects for the 2011 MLB Draft.
