Auburn extends John Pawlowski’s Contract

Auburn baseball coach John Pawlowski, who directed Auburn to its first Southeastern Conference Western Division title in 15 years in 2010, has been rewarded with a two-year contract extension through 2015, announced Director of Athletics Jay Jacobs.
“We’re very appreciative of what John and his staff have done with the baseball program since their arrival at Auburn,” Jacobs said. “Winning the SEC West and hosting an NCAA Regional certainly made this past season a memorable one, and we look forward to them continuing to build off the success they have achieved.”
Ten Special College Baseball Coaches in 2010
Kendall Rogers of Rivals.com recently put out an article profiling the best ten coaching jobs over the past year. He names both Ray Tanner from South Carolina and John Savage from UCLA who faced off in the CWS Championship Series which was won by the Gamecocks two games to none. He also includes Peter Hughes (Virginia Tech), Jim Schlossnagle (TCU), Tim Esmay (Arizona State), Kevin O’Sullivan (Florida), John Pawlowski (Auburn), Jim Penders (UConn), Sunny Golloway (Oklahoma), and George Horton (Oregon).
