2013 CAA Preseason Coaches Poll

CAA LogoRICHMOND, Va. (January 23, 2013) – UNCW, which captured its third CAA baseball championship in the past nine years last season, has been picked to win the conference title again in 2013 according to a vote of the league’s head baseball coaches.

The Seahawks received five first-place votes and finished atop the poll with 75 points. Hofstra picked up three first-place votes and was second with 69 points. James Madison was chosen third with 62 points and Delaware got two first-place votes and was fourth with 57 points. George Mason placed fifth in the voting, followed by Old Dominion, William & Mary, Towson, Northeastern and Georgia State. Read the rest of this entry »

Hofstra’s John Russo receives Contract Extension

Hofstra named John Russo as Head Coach

Hempstead, NY – Hofstra University Interim Director of Athletics Danny McCabe announced today that John Russo has been named head coach of the Pride baseball team. Russo had been named the interim head coach in January following the resignation of former coach Patrick Anderson. Russo is the 14th head coach in program history. Read the rest of this entry »

Carolina took a commanding four-run lead after the first inning in game one and never looked back en route to a 10-2 season-opening victory over Xavier.

Hofstra’s Patrick Anderson Resigns; John Russo takes over
