Harvard releases 2013 Schedule

HarvardCelebrationCAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The 2013 Harvard baseball schedule has been released and is available for viewing. First-year head coach Bill Decker and the Crimson will play a 40-game regular season schedule beginning March 1.

The Crimson opens play the weekend of March 1-3, playing four games in Charlottesville, Va. with two against the host University of Virginia and two against Bucknell. Read the rest of this entry »

Jeff Calcaterra named Assistant Coach at Hartford

Jeff Calcaterra has been named as Harvard’s top assistant baseball coach and recruiting coordinator by Bill Decker, the Joseph J. O’Donnell ’67 Head Coach for Harvard Baseball.

He most recently served as head coach at the University of Hartford from 2005 to 2011, winning 82 games. Prior to Hartford, Calcaterra spent 11 seasons as the full-time assistant coach at Indiana University. Read the rest of this entry »

Harvard Stadium turned into Baseball Training Facility

Harvard Stadium, which is one of the oldest college football stadiums in the country, is home to the Harvard baseball team and many other spring sports during the winter months as an indoor training facility. Brent Suter (Harvard) is this week’s Coca Cola Pitcher of the Week after recording what might be the defining clutch pitching performance of this year’s playoffs. 2011 Ivy League Award Winners

PRINCETON, N.J. — The Princeton Tigers made a return to the top of the Ivy standings for the first time since 2006, and did so largely due to the play of junior catcher/outfielder Sam Mulroy (Bethesda, Md.) and RHP/first baseman Mike Ford (Belle Mead, N.J.), who were voted the 2011 Ivy League Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year, respectively, in a vote by the League’s eight head coaches.
