College Baseball Daily continues our countdown to the start of the 2011 College Baseball season by checking in on the Top 100 Players in the country. We will be providing one player per day until we reach number 1.
We continue the countdown today at number 42 with Miami junior third baseman Harold Martinez. The Miami, Florida, native attended Braddock High School. He has an outstanding senior year where he hit .410 with eight homers and 27 RBI with him being named first-team all-county. He also had a strong junior season with a .500 average with three homers and 23 RBI. After his senior season, the Texas Rangers selected him in the 19th round but were not able to keep Harold away from Coral Gables as he went to play under legendary Hurricanes coach Jim Morris.
