FGCU Brady Anderson to miss 2013 Season
Florida Gulf Coast projected starting center fielder and closer Brady Anderson will miss the 2013 college baseball season with a torn ACL and meniscus according to a report in the Naples Daily News. Anderson hit .248 in 31 games while driving in 14 runs last season. On the mound, Anderson pitched in 20 games including three starts going 1-7 including four saves and having a 4.08 ERA. 2013 Atlantic Sun Preseason Coaches Poll

MACON, Ga. – For the second time in the past three seasons, FGCU and Mercer shared the top spot in the Atlantic Sun Baseball Preseason Coaches Poll. The two teams previously tied in the 2011 poll. FGCU Baseball Announces 2012 Schedule
FORT MYERS, Fla. – Head coach Dave Tollett and the FGCU baseball program have announced the schedule for the upcoming 2012 hardball season. Entering the 10th season of the program, this year’s 56-game slate includes 30 home and 26 road contests and features opponents from the ACC, SEC, Big Ten, BIG EAST, and Big XII, in addition to the nine Atlantic Sun Conference schools. TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Redshirt freshman David Trexler earned his first career victory as No. 7 Florida State rolled past Valdosta State, 10-2 at Dick Howser Stadium.
In a pre-arranged controlled start, Trexler (1-0) tossed three innings of shutout baseball, surrendering only a pair of infield singles.
