Beavers bash their way into Game 3 with 21 hits against Kansas State

This time, it was a much bigger stage – with the bright TV lights of ESPN in the first inning of the second game of the Corvallis Super Regional – and the best friends ignited a hitting display of awe-inspiring proportions, belting back-to-back two-out home runs to right center field. Oregon State turned that into a five-run outburst and the Beavers never glanced back en route to a 12-4 victory that evened the best-of-three series at a game each. 2011 SEC TV Listings

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Southeastern Conference has announced its complete 2011 SEC Baseball television schedule, the second under the league’s landmark 15-year agreement with ESPN. The regular-season package will include 54 broadcasts in 2011, up from 46 games in 2010. In addition, all games from the 2011 SEC Tournament will continue to be televised, with the championship game airing again nationally on ESPN2. Including SEC Tournament games, a total of 68 SEC baseball broadcasts will air in 2011 as part of the official SEC package. Continue reading 2011 SEC TV Listings

ESPN releases SEC Baseball/Softball TV Schedule

ESPN networks will offer a vast schedule of Southeastern Conference baseball and softball games for the 2011 season. The SEC had a successful 2010 season that saw the South Carolina baseball program win the 2010 National Championship and three softball teams advanced to the Women’s College World Series. Ole Miss Athletic Director Pat Boone posted multiple tweets on Tuesday afternoon announcing an SEC Baseball Game of the Week on Thursday nights. The tweets posted stated that the SEC will have seven games broadcast on ESPNU with Ole Miss hosting Mississippi State for one of them and heading on the road to face Auburn in the Rebels other appearance. USA Today/ESPN Top 25 Coaches Poll

USAToday USA Today/ESPN finish the Preseason rankings today with as they release their Top 25 which is led by Texas coming in at number 1 receiving 18 out of 31 first place votes. Texas finished last season with a second place finish in the College World Series. LSU defeated the Longhorns in the College World Series to bring home the title and come in at number 2 in the poll. ESPN To Air SEC Baseball in 2010

As a part of the US$2.5 Billion, 15-year all-sports television package announced today, ESPN and the Southeastern Conference announced that college baseball will become a regular feature on the world’s largest and most influential sports network.  The official press release gave some pause, as only the SEC tournament appears to be guaranteed air time.  Additionally, at least 3 softball or baseball games will air on the main channels (ESPN and ESPN2); however, Kendall Rogers of Rivals.com has revealed that it is intended that ESPNU will air several regular season games.  All SEC tournament games will appear on the network.
