2011 Division 3 Preseason Poll by College Baseball Newspaper

Collegiate Baseball Newspaper has released their 2011 Preseason Division 3 Poll. This year Heidelberg (OH) takes the top spot in the poll after going 42-8 last season where they appeared in the Division 3 College World Series. Coming in at number 2 is SUNY-Cortland who went 40-10-1 last season as they played in the Division 3 title game in 2010. The Top 5 is rounded out by Wisconsin-Stevens Point at number 3, Kean, NJ at number 4, and defending national champion Illinois Wesleyan checking in at number 5. MINNEAPOLIS – The D3baseball.com/National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Top 25 media poll was released just before the start of the NCAA Division III tournament and Salisbury University moved up one spot to No. 2. The Sea Gulls (37-6) garnered three first-place votes and 575 total points.

MINNEAPOLIS – The D3baseball.com/National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Top 25 poll was released Tuesday and Salisbury University remains ranked at No. 2 for the second consecutive week. This is the fourth time this season that the Sea Gulls (29-4, 15-3 Capital Athletic Conference) have been ranked second by the media poll. SU received 10 first-place votes and 588 total points.

MINNEAPOLIS – The D3baseball.com/National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Top 25 poll was released Tuesday and Salisbury University dropped four spots to No. 6. Salisbury is ranked No. 19 in the American Baseball Coaches Association/Collegiate Baseball NCAA Division III poll, with the next poll slated to be released on April 7.
