Virginia Tech hosts Military Appreciation Breakfast

BLACKSBURG – On Thursday morning, December 4, the Virginia Tech baseball team, in conjunction with its 19 Ways campaign, served host to its second annual Military Appreciation Breakfast held in Lane Stadium.

Organized by the Tech staff with Colonel Dave Miller, Ph.D., and Major Carrie Cox, more than 50 members of the military arrived on campus for a tour of the stadium and then headed to the sixth floor dining area to be served breakfast by members of the Hokies’ baseball team. Oral Roberts Baseball reaches out to Tulsa Community

Tulsa, Okla. – The ORU baseball team has been focused on more than just baseball these days, and although the baseball season is right around the corner, Head Coach Rob Walton has his team working hard to serve the Tulsa community through various charity and outreach events.

Siena visits Ronald McDonald House

Siena baseball visited the Ronald McDonald House this past weekend, moving holiday gifts and cooking a meal for families staying there. The visit is an annual one, and you can check out an exclusive video here!

Western Kentucky Lends a Hand at Salvation Army

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Several members of the Western Kentucky University baseball spent time earlier this week lending a hand at the local Salvation Army.

Alabama Spreads Christmas Cheer at Sprayberry Education Center

Western Michigan participates in the Fuel Up to Play 60 Program

KALAMAZOO, Mich.- Head coach Billy Gernon and members of the bronco baseball team participated in the Fuel Up to Play 60 program at Moorsbridge Elementary School earlier this week.

Fuel Up to Play 60 (www.fueluptoplay60.com) is an in-school nutrition and physical activity program launched by National Dairy Council (NDC) and NFL, in collaboration with the USDA, to combat childhood obesity. Fuel Up to Play 60 helps students make positive changes in their schools by improving opportunities to consume nutrient-rich foods and get at least 60 minutes of physical activity every day. Elon’s Mike Kennedy raises Money for Breast Cancer

Elon 15th year head baseball coach Mike Kennedy recently participated in the  Little Pink Houses of Hope fundraiser. He had to perform a dance routine with a current Elon student in a dancing with the stars type event. The event ended up raising over $12,000 for cancer research in the Elon community and was an overall success. Texas SID Thomas Dick raising money for Cancer Research

It is rare that I break the constant college baseball updates but Texas SID Thomas Dick is raising money for Prostate Cancer Foundation and LiveStrong by growing a mustache for the month of November. He is joined by many professional athletes including Boston Bruins goalie Tim Thomas ridiculous mustache and many others with the movement. As of right now, he has only raised $365 as his goal is $1,000. You can donate by clicking here.

Duke Takes on Community Service Projects

DURHAM, N.C. – The Duke baseball team split up into three groups to tackle several community service projects last Saturday, November 12.

“Community service is an important component of our baseball program,” said head coach Sean McNally. “I am very proud that our players have embraced this aspect of our program and have chosen to impact Duke and the surrounding Durham community in different ways this past weekend. St. Mary’s Reaches Out to the Community

MORAGA, Calif. – The Saint Mary’s baseball team held its annual community service event on Sunday, October 23. The Gaels hosted 70 kids ranging from 8-13 who were members of the Lamorinda Baseball Academy for three hours of drills, tips and one on one coaching.
