College Baseball Daily continues our countdown to the start of the 2013 College Baseball season by checking in on the Top 100 Players in the country. We will be providing one player per day until we reach number 1.
The third player on our Top 100 countdown is Loyola-Marymount’s Colton Plaia. The Mission Viejo, California native spent his summer as a member of the Team USA Collegiate National Team.

LOS ANGELES — On March 3, Loyola Marymount junior catcher Colton Plaia (pictured left) was batting .167. Fellow junior Matt Lowenstein was hitting a woeful .103. But since then, the two have been tearing it up — both batting near .400.
The duo continued its hot hitting Friday afternoon in the Lions 9-4 win over Saint Mary’s in the West Coast Conference opener at Page Stadium.
