Lowe’s Senior Class Baseball Award Finalists

OVERLAND PARK, KS (April 20, 2011) – Ten NCAA® baseball student-athletes who excel both on and off the field were selected as finalists today for the Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence – community, classroom, character and competition. 2011 Season Preview: Seniors to Watch

There are a few seniors this year that have come back for their final season of eligible. One of the top hitters in the class is Paul Hoilman from East Tennessee State who won both the 2010 T.D. Top 100 Countdown: 48. Cole Green (Texas)

College Baseball Daily continues our countdown to the start of the 2011 College Baseball season by checking in on the Top 100 Players in the country. We will be providing one player per day until we reach number 1.

We continue the countdown today at number 48 with senior RHP Cole Green from Texas. He is a native of Coppell Texas as he attended Coppell High School. Green picked up four letters under head coach Dan English as a pitcher and an outfielder. As a senior, he was named a preseason All-American and earned all-area designated hitter honors as he struggled with injuries. Continue reading
