Ryan Hamilton picked up the loss for the 49ers by going 2.0 innings and gave up the two run homer. Charlotte destroys Va Tech

The Charlotte 49ers took out the Virginia Tech Hokies by a score of 11-0. This is the 49ers second consecutive shutout to extend their scoreless streak to 23 innings. This was the Hokies first game under new Head Coach Peter Hughes who left Boston College last season. Coach Hughes has not changed anything in his coaching style with two runners thrown out but they were able to get two stolen bases in the game. I still wonder if Peter Hughes style of baseball will be successful in the ACC.
