CBD Interview with Loren Hibbs (Charlotte)

I had a chance to catch up to Charlotte head coach Loren Hibbs before the 49ers game on Sunday against Georgia Tech. The 49ers ended up losing the game 6-5 in eleven innings to drop the team’s record to 20-26. The Charlotte 49ers, in search of a fifth Atlantic 10 Conference regular-season crown in their seventh season of league membership, and its third straight title, unveiled the 2012 schedule, ahead of Thursday’s season ticket plan push on December 1. It was an afternoon of firsts as the Charlotte 49ers defeated the Arkansas Razorbacks to open the Tempe, Ariz. Regional, 3-2 at Packard Stadium in the desert. The win was the third in the postseason for the 49ers, sending No. 28 Charlotte (43-14) to the winner’s bracket final tomorrow night at 10 p.m. Eastern against host Arizona State, which scored three in the ninth on a walkoff homer to win 4-3 over New Mexico.
