Hey, Illini fans, Lee Zerrusen coming to you fresh off a week-long trip to Japan. During the spring, I was offered a spot on a team with players from colleges and high schools all over the country traveling overseas to play against Japanese university and club teams. But there’s no reason to remain anxious for that first pitch in a stadium filled with dizzying aromas of burgers and leather gloves.
A brand new coaching staff will await UCF fans on Feb. 20, and www.UCFAthletics.com sat down with each of them so the community could get to know what these Knights are all about. Volunteer assistant coach Aaron Smith happily agreed to serve as part one of this four-part series, and he quickly admitted that the state of Florida is a whole new experience.

HOLLYWOOD, FL – July 1, 2008, Robert Lara, a 6’2 205 lbs pitcher out of University of Central Florida has signed with Dynasty Athlete Representation, LLC. Lara was selected in the 19th round by the San Diego Padres in the 2008 MLB Amateur Draft and is currently playing for the Arizona League affiliate. With this being the last year that a player may transfer with out having to sit out a year look for more of this in the coming weeks as we are two weeks away from the Spring Semester for most schools.
Word is that Hunter Hill a two way star player from Prestonwood Christian Academy will be transferring this Spring semester. Hunter originally signed with University of Central Florida but, has been granted a release form the university and will be here ready to go for the spring semester. During his senior season at Prestonwod Christian Academy Hunter went 11-0 on the mound and he slugged 5 home runs. Hunter was also a team mate of Current Horn Cameron Rupp. Cameron was the Catcher for Hunter during their days at Preston Wood Christian Academy.
