ACC Weekend Preview (April 29th-May 1st)

We start to wind down the 2011 ACC schedule this weekend with the Virginia Cavaliers leading the Coastal Division while Florida State leads the Atlantic. The Cavaliers have a lead of one game in the Coastal Division over Georgia Tech with a 18-3 conference record. Miami is in third place at 15-5 while North Carolina is fourth with a 13-8 record. Virginia Tech comes in fifth at 7-14 while Duke is 4-14 to round out the division. The Atlantic Division is being led by the Florida State Seminoles who are 14-7 which gives them a three game lead over second place Clemson who is 11-10. NC State is in third place at 9-12 while Wake Forest is fourth at 7-14. SEC Weekend Preview (April 29th-May 1st)

The SEC enters the seventh weekend of play with Vanderbilt, Florida, and South Carolina in a three way tie in the Eastern Division with 14-4 conference records. Georgia is fourth at 11-7 while Tennessee (5-13) and Kentucky (4-15) round out the division. The SEC Western Division is also muddled with a three way tie between Arkansas, Ole Miss, and Auburn who each have identical 9-9 records. The ACC enters the seventh weekend of conference play with the Florida State Seminoles continuing to lead the ACC Atlantic Division with a record of 11-7. Clemson is second at 9-9 while NC State is one game behind the Tigers at 8-10. Boston College is fourth at 6-11 with Wake Forest (6-12) and Maryland (4-14) rounding out the division. SEC Weekend Preview (April 22nd-24th)

The SEC kicks off the second half of the season with the marquee matchup taking place in Nashville between the LSU Tigers and the Vanderbilt Commodores in the only series featuring ranked teams. South Carolina heads on the road to Mississippi State, Florida hosts Alabama, Arkansas goes to Kentucky, and Georgia heads to Tennessee. SEC Weekend Preview (April 15th-17th)

The SEC enters the fifth weekend of conference play with the big matchup taking place in Columbia SC between the Vanderbilt Commodores and the South Carolina Gamecocks. Vanderbilt enters the series as the number 1 team in the country while South Carolina is number 3. The other series sees Auburn heading to LSU, Florida facing Georgia, Mississippi State at Arkansas, Kentucky at Ole Miss, and Alabama facing off against Tennessee in the Thursday-Saturday series in which Alabama won the first game on Thursday night. ACC Weekend Preview (April 15th-17th)

The ACC opens up the second half of the conference series this weekend with five different squads showing up in the latest NCBWA rankings while a sixth team in Miami is in the also receiving vote category.

Leading the ACC Atlantic Division is still the Florida State Seminoles who have a 9-6 conference record. Boston College is in second place with a 6-8 mark while Clemson is a half game behind them at 6-9. SEC Game of the Week: Tennessee at Alabama

The SEC has their second Thursday night game of the season tonight with the Tennessee Volunteers facing off against the Alabama Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa. The Vols are coming into the three game series with a 19-14 overall record while being 2-10 in SEC play while sporting a losing streak of seven. SEC Weekend Preview (April 8th-10th)

The SEC enters their fourth weekend of action as this is also the first week of a Thursday night game on the ESPN family of networks. South Carolina took the first game on the network yesterday behind a great pitching performance from Michael Roth and four different players drove in a run for the Gamecocks as they cruised to the 4-0 victory. The ACC enters the midpoint of the conference schedule this weekend with Florida State leading the Atlantic Division with a record of 8-4 with NC State in second place with a 5-7 record and Boston College in third place at 4-7. Clemson and Wake Forest are tied for fourth place at 4-8 while Maryland rounds out the division with a 2-10 record. The Coastal Division is led by Georgia Tech and Virginia with identical 11-1 marks. North Carolina is right on their heels with a 10-2 record in third place. Miami is a game behind the Tar Heels with a 9-3 record while Duke is 3-9 and Virginia Tech is at 1-11. SEC Game of the Week Preview: South Carolina at Tennessee

The SEC starts tonight with their ESPN Game of the Week broadcasts for the 2011 season featuring the 2010 national champion South Carolina facing off against the University of Tennessee for a key three game SEC series.
