Checking in at number 79 is Boston College junior outfielder Tom Bourdon from Simsbury, Connecticut. The 5’11 187 pounder graduated from Northwest Catholic High School. As a senior, he batted .465 with six homers, 26 RBIs and 13 steals. The Boston Red Sox selected him in the 38th round but he decided to continue his career at Boston College. 2013 Boston College Schedule Released

GambinoSmallCHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Boston College baseball team released the 2013 schedule on Friday afternoon. The 56-game slate begins with two tournaments in North Carolina and the Eagles will host five Atlantic Coast Conference opponents in Chestnut Hill.

In 2013, the Eagles will face eight teams from the 2012 NCAA Tournament, including Florida State, which advanced to the College World Series and three (Florida State, St. John’s and NC State) that went on to Super Regionals. Continue reading 2013 Boston College Schedule Released

I have been attending a few Boston College games for the last eight seasons, but last Monday night when I took in the Old Time Baseball Game things seemed different. The game featured players from around New England, including four Boston College connections in Eagles head coach Mike Gambino, Director of Baseball Operations Pete Frates, catcher Matt Paré, and pitcher Eric Gorman. Oldtime Baseball Game Full Of Remembrance And Hope

Something was definitely missing from Monday’s Oldtime Baseball Game in Cambridge, MA.

It wasn’t players, nor equipment, nor the fans (several hundred, if not a thousand, came out.) It wasn’t runs – though those did take a while to show up, as the Abbot Financial Management team overcame five scoreless innings to win the 19th edition of the charity game, 6-0.
