HIGH POINT, N.C. – High Point University baseball head coach Craig Cozart announced the team’s schedule for the upcoming 2015 season on Tuesday. High Point will face a challenging slate of non-conference opponents that includes the College of Charleston, South Florida, North Carolina, Elon and Davidson.
“We have once again put together a challenging schedule for our team this season,” head coach Craig Cozart said. “We have several quality home series and two very challenging road series at the College of Charleston and South Florida. LEXINGTON, Va. – Jonathan Hadra, a four-year letterman and 2004 graduate of VMI, was named the 20th head coach in VMI baseball history on Thursday, Nov. 13. Hadra had been serving as the acting head coach since Nov. 3, when he was named to that role following the resignation of Marlin Ikenberry, who chose to pursue an opportunity in private business. LEXINGTON, Va. – VMI Head Baseball Coach Marlin Ikenberry will step aside to pursue an opportunity in private business, according to information released by VMI athletics director Dr. Dave Diles late Monday. The move is effective at the end of November, but a search for Ikenberry’s successor will begin immediately with longtime assistant and current Associate Head Coach Jonathan Hadra serving as acting head coach during that time.

After leading the High Point Panthers to the program’s best record in 30 years (33-22), a disappointing finish in the Big South Tournament to eventual Tournament Champion, Campbell in the Big South Semi-Final cut the season short.

Radford head baseball coach Joe Raccuia announced Thursday his team’s schedule for the upcoming 2015 season, which begins February 13 in Birmingham, Ala. with the first of a three-game series at Samford. FARMVILLE, Va. — Longwood University Director of Athletics Troy Austin has announced the appointment of Ryan Mau as the fourth head coach of the Lancers’ tradition-rich baseball program. Mau, with 12 years of collegiate coaching experience, has been an assistant coach at the United States Naval Academy for the past four seasons, serving as the recruiting coordinator, as well as the pitching and catching coach.
“Ryan has established himself as a tireless recruiter and a stellar coach,” said Austin. “I have quickly come to learn that he has a passion for developing young people and a strong desire to lead the Longwood Baseball program. UNC Asheville will name Scott Friedholm as their next head coach. He had served the past four seasons as an assistant coach at Boston College. Before joining the Boston College staff, he spent time at Navy and Maine under Paul Kostacopoulos after an outstanding career at Providence College where he was an All-Big East squad member.
