Top 100 Countdown: 46. BA Vollmuth (Southern Miss)

College Baseball Daily continues our countdown to the start of the 2011 College Baseball season by checking in on the Top 100 Players in the country. We will be providing one player per day until we reach number 1.

We continue the countdown today at number 46 with junior shortstop BA Vollmuth from Southern Mississippi. He is from Biloxi, Mississippi where he was a three year captain of the Biloxi High School baseball squad under Kevin Burdine. His senior season saw him hit .390 with six homers and 37 RBI while picking up multiple honors including being named A Clarion Ledger 1st team All-State Selection, Clarion Ledger Dandy Dozen Team and Sun Herald All-South Team. Cape Cod Baseball League Top Performers for July 4th

Athletics Department Here is your Cape Cod League Recap for July 4th. The best performance at the plate came from Tyler Bream of Liberty who went 5-6 with a run scored and drove in six runs for the Wareham Gatemen in a 15-4 victory over the Bourne Braves. The pitching wasn’t fantastic tonight at all with Luke Bard and Jarred Hippen having the best nights.
