College Baseball Daily continues our countdown to the start of the 2012 College Baseball season by checking in on the Top 100 Players in the country. We will be providing one player per day until we reach number 1.
We continue the countdown today at number 84 with Stanford sophomore outfielder Austin Wilson. The 6’3 230 pounder from Los Angeles, California played his high school baseball at Harvard-Westlake. He had a fantastic prep career which led to him being named a two-time All-American, three-time All-CIF and three-time all-league first team pick. The freshman class for this season is the best in recent years with two top 15 picks deciding to spurn the MLB Draft for the next three seasons in Dylan Covey and Karsten Whitson. Covey decided to head to San Diego while Whitson ended up at Florida. They are not the only ones that decided to head to college as we have put together our 2011 Top Freshmen to Watch.
