Update on Augie Garrido

According to the Dallas Morning News, Augie Garrido will plead guilty to a DUI charge on Monday. This news is coming on the heels of last week’s press conference that Augie will be suspended for the first weekend series against UIC. There has been some talk that the 4 games suspension was far too lenient. I for one was sure it would have been at least a 10 games suspension. Now that we know that he will plead guilty to the charges of DUI, I wonder what else will be going on internally.

Augie Garrido checks in with this years Team!

Texas PicRenovations to UFCU Disch-Falk Field still aren’t finished, but the construction is expected to be completed by the Texas baseball team’s season opener against Virginia Commonwealth on Feb. 22.

The renovation project forced the Longhorns to play their first eight games, plus their postseason games, at Dell Diamond in Round Rock last year. Texas coach Augie Garrido loves the new look.

“I for one was in favor of tearing it down and starting over, but I would have been wrong. The way it’s turned out, it’s a brand-new stadium with sight lines that are really terrific for all of the fans. Everything is updated. It’s not a remodel, it’s a complete redo.
