2013 NCAA Regional Projections (April 17th)

13regionalprojections_smAs we’re now well into the 2013 college baseball season, College Baseball Daily continues our countdown to Selection Monday with our latest 2013 Regional Projections.

For this week’s projections, instead of being solely compiled based on RPI like they have been done in past weeks, every aspect was taken into consideration. College Baseball Daily’s Ginger Poulson (@gingerpoulson) compiled this list after analyzing RPI, overall records, conference standings, overall talent and several other factors. CBD Column: ETSU off to Strong Start

ETSUFeaturedTony Skole admits that his 2012 East Tennessee State baseball team struggled. But, the Buccaneers have put the previous campaign behind them and boast an 8-3 record thus far in the young 2013 season.

FGCU Brady Anderson to miss 2013 Season

FGCUPhoto.jpgFlorida Gulf Coast projected starting center fielder and closer Brady Anderson will miss the 2013 college baseball season with a torn ACL and meniscus according to a report in the Naples Daily News. Anderson hit .248 in 31 games while driving in 14 runs last season. On the mound, Anderson pitched in 20 games including three starts going 1-7 including four saves and having a 4.08 ERA. 2013 Atlantic Sun Preseason Coaches Poll

atlanticsunlogo.jpgMACON, Ga. – For the second time in the past three seasons, FGCU and Mercer shared the top spot in the Atlantic Sun Baseball Preseason Coaches Poll. The two teams previously tied in the 2011 poll. The Eagles and Bears both compiled 81 points in the poll with Mercer earning three first-place votes and FGCU receiving two first-place nods. North Florida releases 2013 Schedule
