Hello everyone. To start out I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Tim Caputo and I’m a junior here at the University of Rhode Island. I am studying Kinesiology, majoring in Exercise Science and I play infield for the Rhody Rams baseball team.
It’s about that time of year again to dust the dirt off of our spikes from summer ball and lace them up for another full season of hard work. Fall ball is the time when the new guys get to show their stuff and the veterans challenge these guys and introduce them to the lifestyle of being a college baseball player. ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. — The St. Bonaventure University community is mourning the loss of redshirt junior Andrew Revello, 22, who died Wednesday as the result of injuries sustained in a car accident June 1 in Butler Township, Pa.

Update #1: St. Louis and Darin Hendrickson are refuting the report but we have spoken to many sources around the Iowa program that Hendrickson will be named the new coach.
College Baseball Daily has learned from sources close to the situation that Iowa will name Darin Hendrickson as the Hawkeyes head coach. Hendrickson led the Billkens to a 41-21 overall record while going 17-7 in Atlantic 10 play. He brought the squad to the NCAA Tournament after winning the 2013 Atlantic 10 postseason tournament but went 0-2 in the Columbia, SC regional with losses to South Carolina and Clemson. He has a career coaching record of 688-323 in 18 years of coaching on the collegiate level which includes stops at Central Missouri, St. Louis Community College Forest Park, and Fontbonne University. NBC12 in Richmond reported on May 20th, that McQueen and a student-athlete got into an altercation in the dugout. The report doesn’t state if it became physical or not. McQueen and assistant coach Tag Montague were suspended for the season ending series against Charlotte. The full report from the news station is available here.
A Richmond spokesman stated to CBD that Charlie Goens will be the acting head coach until a new one is hired and Tag Montague will still be an assistant coach/recruiting coordinator.

Columbia, SC – Steve Wilkerson hit two homers with five RBIs and Daniel Gossett pitched 6.0 effective innings to lead #17 Clemson to a 10-2 win over Saint Louis in the Columbia Regional in front of 5,485 fans at Carolina Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Tigers, who evened their record in the regional at 1-1 and snapped their six-game losing streak, improved to 40-21 on the season. COLUMBIA, S.C. – Catcher Trey Wimmer knocked in a career-high six runs and right-hander Josh Richardson pitched his third complete game of the year, leading the Big South Champion Liberty Flames past the Clemson Tigers, 8-3, in Game 1 of the NCAA Columbia, S.C. Regional at Carolina Stadium.
Wimmer drove in a career-high six runs with two hits, a two-run double and three-run home run to go along with a run-scoring sacrifice fly. Playing in his home state, the Greenwood, S.C., native connected for his fifth round tripper of the year in the sixth inning to give Liberty a five-run cushion at the time. In what seems like a yearly event, South Carolina will play host to their fourth consecutive regional and 15th all-time regional as the No. 1 seed of the Columbia Regional. The Gamecocks will welcome in-state foe No. 2 seed Clemson for the second straight year. South Carolina defeated the Tigers two out of three this season. No. 3 seed Liberty and No. 4 seed Saint Louis round out the regional.
