Temple Baseball To Play Conference Games at Campbell’s Field

PHILADELPHIA - It is a new era for Temple University Baseball, so it is only fitting that the team will be playing in a new stadium.

Entering its first year as a member of the American Athletic Conference, Temple University today announced it will play all but one of its home conference games at beautiful Campbell’s Field, home of the Camden Riversharks.

UCF releases 2014 Schedule

2014 CBD Top 100 Countdown: 58. Adam Dian (Temple)

AdamDianTempleWe continue the countdown today with number 58, Temple RHP Adam Dian. In his sophomore campaign with the Owls, Dian appeared in 11 games, allowing only 17 hits and six walks. The right-hander pitched 19.1 innings and posted a 2.65 ERA with 19 strikeouts. With potential to play at the next level, Dian has a solid pitchers build standing at 6’4” 225 pounds. Cincinnati releases 2014 Schedule

CincyCINCINNATI – Head Coach Ty Neal and the University of Cincinnati baseball team announced their 2014 season schedule on Monday. The slate will feature 25 home games for the Bearcats as well as six opponents that participated in the 2013 NCAA tournament.

The Bearcats will be playing their first season as part of the new American Athletic Conference. Joining Cincinnati in the American is UCF, Connecticut, Houston, Louisville, Memphis, Rutgers, USF and Temple. Eight of the league’s nine teams will qualify for the American Athletic Conference championship. The tournament will run from May 21-25, 2014 at Bright House Field in Clearwater, Fla.

“We are excited about the 2014 season” said Coach Neal. “This team has been working hard and we are ready to finally see a different color jersey. We feel very fortunate to join the American Athletic Conference. The structure of the American schedule, combined with our geographic location, allows us to play a very competitive schedule that will prepare us for the postseason. The bonus to this is that Marge Schott Stadium provides an opportunity for schools to come to us and play in a first-class facility.” Continue reading

2014 Top 100 Players Countdown: 86. Eric Skoglund (UCF)

College Baseball Daily kicks off our countdown to the start of the 2014 College Baseball season by checking in on the top 100 players in the country. We will be providing one player per day until we reach number 1.
We continue the list today at number 86 with University Central Florida’s junior LHP Eric Skoglund. In his sophomore season with the Knights, the southpaw appeared in 14 games with 10 starts, totaling 56.2 innings and a 1-4 record. On his fist victory of the 2013 season, Skoglund went for eight innings, allowing no runs and only three hits. Continue reading

UConn releases 2014 Schedule
