College Baseball Daily continues our countdown to the start of the 2013 college baseball season by checking in on the Top 100 Players in the country. We will be providing one player per day until we reach number 1.
Coming in at 81 in our Top 100 countdown is Stanford sophomore infielder Alex Blandino from Palo Alto, California. He attended St. Francis High School where he was a four year letter winner. As a senior, he hit .511 with nine homers, 39 RBIs, and 33 runs scored. On the mound, he went 4-1 with a 2.18 ERA in 45 innings pitched. He picked up several awards including the San Jose Mercury News and Palo Alto Daily News Player of the Year, Cal-Hi Sports state player of the year, and Rawlings Golden Glove award winner.
