NOTRE DAME, Ind. – After playing only six games at the friendly confines of Frank Eck Stadium last season due to FieldTurf installation, the University of Notre Dame baseball team is returning home in a big way in 2015 with a monster home slate that features Atlantic Coast Conference series against four 2014 NCAA Tournament teams including College World Series participants Louisville and Virginia.
The Boston College baseball program practices during the brutal New England winters at Alumni Stadium which is the home of the BC football program. BLACKSBURG – On Thursday morning, December 4, the Virginia Tech baseball team, in conjunction with its 19 Ways campaign, served host to its second annual Military Appreciation Breakfast held in Lane Stadium.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – With its debut season in the Atlantic Coast Conference on the horizon, the University of Louisville baseball program released its 2015 schedule on Thursday, highlighted by 28 of 56 games against programs in last year’s NCAA Championship.
Among the most challenging schedules in school history, the Cardinals will follow back-to-back College World Series seasons with a 33-game home slate in 2015 featuring perennial ACC leaders Florida State, Miami and Georgia Tech as well as non-conference matchups against Ole Miss, Vanderbilt and Kentucky. Overall, Louisville will play six games against 2014 CWS clubs with a three-game series at national runner-up Virginia, a two-game home set with Ole Miss and a midweek home contest against reigning NCAA champion Vanderbilt in the annual Battle of the Barrel. WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Sixth-year head coach Tom Walter has announced the 2015 spring schedule for the Wake Forest baseball team.
Wake Forest will again play a challenging schedule with six opponents that played in the NCAA Tournament last season.
The Deacons open the season at home with four-straight home games with the home opener on Feb. 13 against Delaware. In all, the Hokies will play 23 games against NCAA teams from a year ago and 38 of their 56 slated for the upcoming season are against teams ranked in the top 100 of last year’s final RPI. PITTSBURGH–The University of Pittsburgh baseball team today released its 2015 schedule, as announced by head coach Joe Jordano.
The Panther’s opponents include seven teams that appeared in the 2014 College World Series (Florida State, Virginia, Miami, North Carolina, Georgia Tech, Kent State, and Youngstown State).
