LUBBOCK, Texas — The National College Baseball Hall of Fame is proud to announce Trea Turner as the 2014 Brooks Wallace Shortstop of the Year.

Kentucky’s A.J. Reed wins 2014 John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Award

AJReedKentuckyLUBBOCK, Texas — The National College Baseball Hall of Fame is proud to announce A.J. Reed as the 2014 John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year.

At the plate, the Kentucky junior pitcher and first baseman had a stellar .336 batting average with 23 home runs and 73 RBIs. In the field, he recorded a .992 fielding percentage. Aaron Nola wins 2014 National Pitcher of the Year Award

LUBBOCK, Texas — The National College Baseball Hall of Fame is proud to announce Aaron Nola as the winner of the 2014 National Pitcher of the Year Award, sponsored by Diamond Sports.

2014 NCBWA Freshman All-American Teams

NCBWA LogoLYNCHBURG, VA. (NCBWA) – A total of 32 standout freshmen college baseball players from every part of the country are featured on the 2014 National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Freshman All-American team, the organization announced today.

The 2014 NCBWA Freshman All-America team features players from 17 leagues and six conference championship teams. The two All-American squads also are made up of 12 conference “Rookie of the Year” winners. In addition, 22 all-conference honorees were named to the team. 2014 Dick Howser Trophy Semifinalists Announced

Va. – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association has released the list of semifinalists for the 2014 Dick Howser Trophy, presented by Easton Foundations. The award, given to the top player in collegiate baseball, is based on two rounds of national voting.

This is the 28th year of the Dick Howser Trophy presented by Easton Foundations. The finalists will be announced on Thursday, June 5. The 2014 award will be presented at TD Ameritrade Stadium in downtown Omaha, the home of the College World Series for the fourth year.
