Seattle University announces 2014 Schedule

DonnyHarrelSeattleU_thumb.jpgSEATTLE, Wash. – Seattle University head baseball coach Donny Harrel has finalized the 2014 Redhawk baseball schedule, a 54-game regular season schedule that includes 21 home games.

The Redhawks will begin the 2014 campaign with 13 consecutive road contests, starting with four-game weekend series at UC Davis (Feb. 14-16) and at Cal State Northridge (Feb. 21-23). From Feb. 27 through March 1, Seattle U will face BYU at Bruce Hurst Field in St. George, Utah, followed by a midweek series at Oregon March 4-5. Maine releases 2014 Schedule

EricWhiteMaine2ORONO, Maine– Series with the University of Miami and Clemson University highlight a competitive non-conference University of Maine baseball schedule, released recently. Following the series with Clemson, Maine plays 15 games in Florida before returning north for the always challenging America East Conference slate.

Texas Tech releases 2014 Schedule

TexasTechStadiumLUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech baseball program and second-year head coach Tim Tadlock released the Red Raiders 56-game schedule for the 2014 season Tuesday morning.

Texas Tech’s schedule is highlighted by 35 home games at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park – its most home games since 2004 – while playing 18 games against seven NCAA Tournament opponents from a year ago and opening the season hosting a four-game series against Indiana, who is coming off its first appearance at the College World Series. Rhode Island releases 2014 Schedule

JimFosterURI.jpgKINGSTON, R.I. – Rhode Island baseball head coach Jim Foster has released the team’s 2013 schedule, which includes seven games against teams that competed in last season’s NCAA tournament.

Cincinnati releases 2014 Schedule

CincyCINCINNATI – Head Coach Ty Neal and the University of Cincinnati baseball team announced their 2014 season schedule on Monday. The slate will feature 25 home games for the Bearcats as well as six opponents that participated in the 2013 NCAA tournament.

The Bearcats will be playing their first season as part of the new American Athletic Conference. Joining Cincinnati in the American is UCF, Connecticut, Houston, Louisville, Memphis, Rutgers, USF and Temple. Eight of the league’s nine teams will qualify for the American Athletic Conference championship. The tournament will run from May 21-25, 2014 at Bright House Field in Clearwater, Fla.

“We are excited about the 2014 season” said Coach Neal. “This team has been working hard and we are ready to finally see a different color jersey. We feel very fortunate to join the American Athletic Conference. The structure of the American schedule, combined with our geographic location, allows us to play a very competitive schedule that will prepare us for the postseason. Louisiana Tech releases 2014 Schedule

WadeSimoneauxLATech_thumb.jpgRUSTON, La. – Louisiana Tech and the Bulldog Baseball team has announced its schedule for the 2014 baseball season, featuring a 12-game home stand to open the season, a total of eight home weekend series and three-game series against SEC and Big Ten opponents.

MattVaughnUCDavisDAVIS, Calif. — Contests against four NCAA Tournament teams from a season ago highlight a 55-game slate for the UC Davis baseball team as the Aggies announced their 2014 schedule on Wednesday.

“I like the schedule this year,” Head Coach Matt Vaughn said. “Division I Baseball on the West Coast is always going to be challenging and it will be fun with some new teams on the schedule.
