CORVALLIS, Ore. – Even before the game began, Oregon State was bloody.
Playing in the visiting dugout for the first time all season, starting pitcher Andrew Moore noticed a trail of blood leading to the dugout. Then he realized the blood was from Jake Rodriguez – the first-team all-Pac-12 catcher who had just finished warming up Moore.

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Cole Lankford helped get Texas A&M off to a dynamite start, doubling in a run in the first inning, and Parker Ray was dominant on the mound for 8 2/3 innings as the Aggies defeated UT San Antonio 6-1 in an elimination game at the Corvallis Regional.
Lankford finished the game 5-for-5, scored a run and drove in two to lead a 12-hit assault that the Roadrunners were unable to match. Continue reading
CORVALLIS, Ore. – Austin Pettibone lifted UC Santa Barbara on his shoulders, delivering three pitches for strikes and keeping Texas A&M off-balance for 7 2/3 innings in the Corvallis Regional. The Gauchos responded to his efforts, providing enough offense for a 6-4 victory in their postseason appearance since 2001.
For A&M, workhorse ace Daniel Mengden wasn’t his usual efficient self, lasting just one out into the fourth. He gave up six hits, five runs – four earned – and three walks in front of 1,783 baseball fans at Goss Stadium. Continue reading
