Texas A&M advances to CWS

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – For the first time since 1999, the Texas A&M baseball team is headed to Omaha, Neb., and the College World Series as Monday the Aggies punched their ticket with an 11-2 victory over Florida State during the deciding game of the NCAA Tallahassee Super Regional.

“I am proud for our coaches, our players, our university, our community that we were able to win this Super Regional and we are moving on to Omaha,” Texas A&M head coach Rob Childress said. “Very proud for everyone that is involved in our athletic department, our baseball program and our community.” Continue reading


Florida State forces Game 3 with Texas A&M

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Seminoles.com) – Sophomore shortstop Justin Gonzalez’s three-run moonshot in the sixth inning broke open a game that was still within Texas A&M’s reach as the Florida State baseball team forced a decisive winner-takes-all game on Monday with a 23-9 victory over Texas A&M on Sunday evening in the NCAA Super Regionals at Dick Howser Stadium. Texas A&M defeats Florida State 6-2 to win Game 1 of Super Regional

2011 Tallahassee Super Regional Preview: Texas A&M vs Florida State

The Tallahassee Super Regionals kick off on Saturday as the Florida State Seminoles host the Texas A&M Aggies. Both schools won home regionals with Florida State going 3-0 with victories over Bethune-Cookman and defeating Alabama in two games. Texas A&M won their opener against Wright State 11-0, Seton Hall 6-3 before losing 7-4 to Arizona and bouncing back against the Wildcats to win 3-0.  Continue reading
