WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Black team scored five unanswered runs over the final three innings to rally for a 5-3 victory in game four of the Black and Gold Series Wednesday afternoon, officially claiming a series victory with its third victory of the five-game set at Lambert Field. North Carolina: Navy 0 Blue 0

Chapel Hill, N.C.- Dominant pitching was the theme of Tuesday afternoon’s scrimmage as Navy and Blue fought to a 0-0 tie in a contest that lasted eight and one-half innings. Tate Parrish and Chris O’Brien threw for Navy while Hobbs Johnson and George Carter were on the mound for Blue. Navy held a four to two edge in hits, with Blue committing the only error of the game on a failed pick-off attempt in the eighth inning. Continue reading

Here is your Fall Ball Recap for October 3rd.

Purdue: Black 4 Gold 4

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Sean McHugh and Stephen Talbott both drove in a pair of runs for their respective teams, but game three of Purdue baseball’s Black and Gold Series was tied 4-4 after nine innings when the game was suspended until next week.

The Black team jumped out to an early 3-0 lead on an RBI single from Jon Bradford in the second inning and a two-run double from Talbott in the following frame. Continue reading

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - An early 8-0 lead helped the Black team withstand a valiant comeback effort and earn an 11-10 victory in game two of Purdue baseball’s Black & Gold Series Friday afternoon at Lambert Field.

The win allowed the Black team to a two games to none lead in the five-game fall series. Game three is set for Sunday at 2 p.m. Continue reading

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Indiana State baseball team hit the field for the first time on Tuesday, Sept. 20, taking on the Ontario Blue Jays at Bob Warn Field at Sycamore Stadium. The Sycamores got off to a hot start and rode a six-run first inning to victory, defeating the Blue Jays by a score of 11-1. Continue reading
