Pacific releases 2010 Schedule

PacificPhoto Stockton, Calif. – Head coach Ed Sprague has unveiled the 2010 Pacific baseball schedule, set to begin with a home series against San Francisco on Friday, Feb. 19 at 6 p.m. at Klein Family Field.

This season the Tigers will host 29 contests at home and hit the road for 26. New to the 2010 schedule include match-ups against Seattle, Notre Dame, Bradley, USC and Santa Clara.

Arkansas State releases 2010 Schedule

(12/11/09) – Thirty-one home games, including 15 Sun Belt Conference matchups and a home clash with perennial national power Ole Miss highlight the schedule for the 2010 Arkansas State baseball season, which gets underway Feb. 19 when the Red Wolves host Southern Illinois in a three-game series at Tomlinson Stadium and Kell Field.

St. Joe’s signs nine for 2010-2011 Season

FritzHamburg PHILADELPHIA – Saint Joseph’s head coach Fritz Hamburg has announced the signing of nine student-athletes to National Letters of Intent. The new additions will come to Hawk Hill in time for the start of the 2011 season.

Included in the class are catcher Nuri Gunes, infielders Spencer Judge, Kevin Kratochwill, and Michael Muha, and pitchers Jordan Carter, Brett Koliani, Taylor Mahoney, Danny Thorpe, and Jimmy Yacabonis.

Texas AM-Corpus Christi releases 2010 Schedule

TexasAMCC2010Schedule The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi baseball team has announced a challenging 56-game schedule that includes four Big 12 teams and one team each from the Southeastern Conference, Pac-10, and Conference USA. The Islanders will once again host the Southland Conference Tournament at Whataburger Field May 26-29.

Aside from a 33-game Southland Conference slate, the Islanders will take on Texas and Texas Tech twice, Nebraska, and Oklahoma from the Big 12. They will face UCLA and Mississippi State in the 2010 version of the Whataburger College Classic. Earlier in the season, A&M-Corpus Christi will participate in the Rice Invitational and returns for a single game in mid-April.

Memphis releases 2010 Schedule

DaronSchoenrockMemphis The 2010 edition of Memphis baseball faces another demanding schedule that will showcase 29 home games, including 13 contests versus NCAA Regional participants, head coach Daron Schoenrock announced today.

"Staying with the promise to our athletes and Tiger fans, this is another very challenging college baseball schedule," Schoenrock stated. "Conference USA weekend series’ are very tough and our non-conference schedule is designed to prepare the team for these weekends. Strength of schedule is a huge factor in developing the RPI necessary to make the NCAA Regionals. I look forward to seeing the 2010 Tiger team attack this schedule and the challenges that await us."

UCSB releases 2010 Schedule

MarioHollandsUCSB SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – The UC Santa Barbara baseball team released its 2010 schedule on Thursday, featuring 28 home games, 12 opponents who finished last season at .500 or better and nine games against teams that made the 2009 NCAA Regionals. The schedule pits UCSB against teams that had a combined .532 winning percentage last season. Four of UCSB’s opponents won 40 games last year while six others won at least 30 games.

UT-San Antonio Announces 2010 Schedule

ShermanCorbett SAN ANTONIO, TX — UTSA head baseball coach Sherman Corbett announced Wednesday his program’s 2010 schedule. Highlighted by six teams that played in the 2009 NCAA Tournament (Baylor, Sam Houston State, Texas, Texas A&M, TCU, Texas State), a full slate of 33 Southland Conference games and 26 home tilts, the ledger features a total of 52 contests this spring.

“This will be yet another challenging schedule for our program,” said Corbett, who begins his 10th season this spring. “Not only do we play six clubs that played in the postseason last year, but we also have several tough road contests that will prepare us for the 33-game Southland Conference season. I’m looking forward to seeing how this year’s group handles this schedule and performs as the year progresses.”

West Virginia Announces 2010 Schedule

vanzantgreg MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University Director of Athletics Ed Pastilong has announced the 2010 baseball schedule, highlighted by 32 home games and five matchups against 2009 NCAA Tournament participants.

“Coach Greg Van Zant has put together one of his most competitive schedules to date,” Pastilong said. “We are looking forward to another year of exciting baseball that features several quality opponents and some very challenging early-season tournaments.”

West Virginia opens the season with three competitive tournaments. The Mountaineers start off with the Caravelle Resort Tournament in Conway, S.C., featuring games against 2009 NCAA Tournament qualifier Coastal Carolina, Kentucky and Virginia Tech on Feb. 19-21.

Akron releases 2010 Schedule

JeffHarwell AKRON, Ohio - Head coach Pat Bangtson and the Zips have released the 2010 baseball schedule. The Zips open the season with four consecutive tournaments, traveling to Las Cruces, N.M., Wilmington N.C. and Florida for preseason competition. The 56-game schedule opens on February 19th and will run through May 22nd. The Mid-American Conference tournament is slated for May 26th through 30th.

Samford releases 2010 Schedule

MasonMeredethSamford BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Home games against SEC opponents Auburn and Alabama, and against Big 10 opponents Michigan State and Minnesota highlight Samford’s 2010 baseball schedule, released by head coach Casey Dunn on Tuesday.

“We are excited about our schedule, especially our home schedule,” Dunn said. “We were able to get Alabama and Auburn in home-and-homes again this year. We feel like it is important for our program to play the teams in our state, including UAB, Troy and Jacksonville State.”
