ATLANTA, Ga. – Junior right-hander Nathan Kilcrease etched his name into Crimson Tide lore as he pitched Alabama into the NCAA Super Regionals with a 10-8 win over No. 8 Georgia Tech in the championship game of the 2010 NCAA Atlanta Regional at Russ Chandler Stadium on Monday night.
Alabama (41-23) captured its seventh NCAA Regional Championship and its first since winning the 2006 NCAA Tuscaloosa Regional.

Alabama 8 Georgia Tech 1
ATLANTA, Ga. – Alabama sophomore centerfielder Taylor Dugas homered on the first pitch of the game, setting the tone for the Crimson Tide’s 8-1 win over No. 8 Georgia Tech in the 2010 NCAA Atlanta Regional at Russ Chandler Stadium on Sunday night.
Dugas hit one of three first inning home runs for Alabama and sophomore left hander Adam Morgan logged his third career complete game as the Crimson Tide defeated the Yellow Jackets for its second elimination-game win of the day.
Junior second baseman Ross Wilson went 3-for-3 with a two-run home run and score two runs for Alabama, which plated seven of its eight runs in the game’s first two innings.

Georgia Tech 5 Alabama 2
ATLANTA – Georgia Tech starter Deck McGuire allowed just two runs in eight innings and Chase Burnette collected three hits, including a record-tying home run, leading the Yellow Jackets past Alabama 5-2 Saturday night in the winner’s bracket game of the NCAA Baseball Atlanta Regional.
A capacity crowd of 4,157 packed into Russ Chandler Stadium to watch McGuire (9-4) pitch against Alabama’s Jimmy Nelson (8-3) in a battle of two of the top aces in the Southeast. Tech’s Andrew Robinson pitched the ninth inning to record his eighth save.
"This was a really good college baseball game," said Georgia Tech coach Danny Hall. "I told my guys after the game that it was probably the best game that we have played all year long – pitching, hitting, defense.

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will be hosting a regional this year which features Alabama, Elon, and Mercer. The first games of the tournament feature number 2 seeded Alabama facing off against number 3 seeded Elon. Georgia Tech and Mercer will face off in the second game on Friday night at 7pm.
