Cape Cod ASG Participants by School since 2008

2013CCBLASGThe Cape Cod Baseball League All-Star Game is set for this weekend in Yarmouth, Massachusetts which annually features the best college baseball players in the country. Brent Ingram of Kentucky Media Relations put together the most successful school in placing players in the game since 2008. Leading the pack is the LSU Tigers with 10 players with Vanderbilt in second place with eight. Kentucky, Stanford, and Arizona are tied for third place with seven. 2013 Cape Cod Baseball League All-Star Game Rosters Announced

2013CCBLASGSOUTH YARMOUTH, Mass. – The participants for the 2013 Friendly’s Cape League All-Star game were unveiled Saturday morning, July 20, at Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School. Cape Cod Baseball League Commissioner Paul Galop announced the two 25-man rosters, which were chosen by the managers of the 10 Cape League teams. Northwoods League continues to Grow

NorthwoodsLeagueThe Northwoods League was founded in 1994 by Dick Radatz Jr. the son of former major leaguer Dick Radatz. The league has flourished in its 19 years of existence. The league has a much different structure when compared to the Cape Cod Baseball League as they serve alcohol, charge admission, and act as a minor league type league in terms of marketing. Interesting enough, Radatz blasted the Cape League’s structure in a Boston Globe article.  Continue reading

Cape Cod Baseball League to have 9 Games Televised

CCBLLogo.jpgHYANNIS, Mass. – A nine-game package of Cape Cod Baseball League games begins at 6:00pm ET Thursday when FOX College Sports beams the Yarmouth-Dennis at Hyannis game from McKeon Park to a national television audience.

FOX College Sports Atlantic and USA World Events are producing the games in cooperation with the Cape League. All 10 Cape League teams will be seen at least once on FOX College Sports Atlantic. Continue reading

TCU adds Zach Etheredge to Coaching Staff

Top 100 Countdown: 59. Trevor Gott (Kentucky)

Gott at HCC-2College Baseball Daily continues our countdown to the start of the 2013 college baseball season by checking in on the Top 100 Players in the country. We will be counting down the players day-by-day until we reach number 1.

We continue the countdown today at number 59 with Kentucky junior RHP Trevor Gott. The Lexington, Kentucky native attended Tates Creek High School where he was a five year letter winner under coach Dom Fucci. As a senior, he posted a 6-0 record and a 1.12 ERA with 76 strikeouts in 47.1 innings. He was named all-state as a junior and senior, earning regional player of the year accolades while being named first-team all-city for three seasons. Continue reading

Number 61 on our Top 100 Countdown is Texas Tech junior pitcher Trey Masek. The Giddings, Texas native attended Giddings High School where he was a four year varsity letter winner. He was a four-time All-District selection while being named the Louisville Slugger Texas High School Player of the Year as a senior. Continue reading
