Victoria, TX (July 4, 2015) – The Texas Collegiate League announced Saturday the rosters for the 2015 TCL All-Star Game. The Victoria Generals will host the event on Tuesday, July 7, at Riverside Stadium.
The league will maintain the same North-South format used last season, with the host Generals teaming up with the Acadiana Cane Cutters and Woodlands Strykers to form the South squad. The North side will be comprised of representatives from the Brazos Valley Bombers, East Texas Pump Jacks, and Texas Marshals.

The Coastal Plain League announced today the rosters for the 2015 All-Star Game to be held in Florence, S.C. July 12-13 at Sparrow Stadium. This marks the 17th year the CPL has played an all-star game with last year’s being won by the West 7-5 in Morehead City, N.C.
Players are separated by division and will be competing in front over a large contingency of scouts as well as fans. Since the game is being played in the Florence RedWolves home ballpark, the West All-Stars will be the home team while the East All-Stars will serve as the visitors. CARY, N.C. — Seth Romero (Houston) fanned six in four shutout innings and Bobby Dalbec (Arizona) belted his second home run of the summer, leading the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team to a 7-0 win over the Coastal Plains League Select team, on a steamy Wednesday afternoon at USA Baseball’s National Training Complex.

With the Cape Cod Baseball League running just 10 weeks, each and every game is important for players to make their mark. The Hyannis Harbor Hawks’ Devin Smeltzer (Florida Gulf Coast) has capitalized on it, pitching a no-hitter against Harwich that put him on the radar and earned him Coca-Cola Pitcher of the Week honors. Smeltzer is 2-0 with a 1.22 ERA and 13 strikeouts in 14 2/3 innings.

College baseball fans,
I know I have been away for a while but I am back! First and foremost, what a NCAA tournament and College World Series it has been thus far! It’s hard to argue that baseball is the most exciting and suspenseful sport there is. When thinking about crazy baseball plays, games, or moments, there is one saying that I have heard many times that sums up the best way to look at it: “Gotta love it!” How could you not love it? I must admit my biased ways though being that I have played this sport my entire life. Even those who haven’t always played and who are just spectators watching this sport like every other must feel some sort of rush of brilliance while watching. Now that my rant about the perfectness of baseball is over, I’d like to give you all a look into how things have been going in Buies Creek and Holly Springs, NC.
