Cal State Fullerton placed second, while Cal Poly followed in third place.
FROM PRESS RELEASE Old Dominion is the overwhelming favorite to capture the CAA baseball championship in 2008 according to a vote of the league’s head baseball coaches. The Monarchs finished atop the poll with 99 points and received nine of a possible 10 first-place votes since coaches weren’t allowed to rank their own teams.
The Western Athletic Conference (WAC) has announced their 2008 Preseason Poll and Team. The Preseason poll is led by defending conference champion Fresno State who received six out of seven first place votes with Louisiana Tech getting the other vote.
