2014 Top 100 Players Countdown: 88. KJ Hockaday (Harford CC)

College Baseball Daily kicks off our countdown to the start of the 2014 College Baseball season by checking in on the top 100 players in the country. We will be providing one player per day until we reach number 1.
We continue the list today at number 88 with Harford CC third baseman KJ Hockaday. Before making the decision to attend Harford, Hockaday spent his first two seasons with the Maryland Terrapins. In his sophomore campaign with the Terps, Hockaday posted a .286 BA with 36 hits and 15 RBI during a season riddled with injury and undisclosed suspensions. 2013 NJCAA Division 1 Preseason Poll Released

NJCAABaseballLogoThe NJCAA Coaches Association has announced their 2013 NJCAA Division 1 Preseason Poll today. Leading the poll is Iowa Western with San Jacinto (TX) coming in second place. Rounding out the top five are Gordon (GA) State at number 3, Shelton (AL) State at four, and Jefferson (MO) in the fifth spot. You can check out the rest of the top 20 below. St. Petersburg Head Coach Rob Francis Arrested in Child Sex Sting

UPDATED ON DECEMBER 10th at 1:30 PM

Francis has posted bond of $5,100 and told to stay off the St. Petersburg campus as he was placed on administrative leave.  (Link)

Current St. Petersburg College head baseball coach Rob Francis was arrested as part of a Child Sex Sting in Orlando according to a report in The Orlando Sentinel.
