According to a statement released by ASU Athletics, Arizona State has decided to cut ties with the Cubs and the City of Mesa, both of which were originally involved in the negotiations of a move off-campus to the Cubs soon to be built spring training facilities. SEC Fall Checkin: Vanderbilt

After being eliminated in a close game by NC State in the NCAA Regional early last June, the Commodores are back with something to prove. They bounced back from a 1-7 start in 2011 to finish 35-28, then won six more games in the postseason. Maine opens New Batting Facility

ORONO, Maine– The Paul J. Mitchell Batting Pavilion was officially dedicated in a ceremony at the University of Maine on Tuesday, August 21 in front of several hundred people. Construction, which began in May, was recently completed on the indoor batting facility which will be utilized by the Maine baseball team, softball team and the community. Missouri announces Facility Improvements

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The University of Missouri is just five days away from officially joining the Southeastern Conference, but Mizzou Athletics isn’t waiting for July 1st to show the nation it is eager to compete in the league that is known widely as the nation’s best. As announced today, a $30 million private gift from the Kansas City Sports Trust will help jump-start a $200 million master plan resulting in facility improvements seen as vital to MU’s future success in the SEC. Minnesota holds Groundbreaking Event for Renovations

A historic day for Golden Gopher baseball as the University of Minnesota Athletics department held a groundbreaking ceremony, today, June 11th, 2012, at Siebert Field. Approved by the University’s Board of Regents on Friday, Gopher baseball held a groundbreaking event in front of fans, donors and media members.

President Eric Kaler opened the ceremony, followed by Director of Athletics Joel Maturi. “I thank former players and the baseball community for being patient,” Maturi said. “It has not been easy. But it is now the beginning of a new era. Over these 20 years there has remained one constant, John Anderson. New Mexico Breaks Ground at Lobo Field

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The University of New Mexico broke ground on renovations at Lobo Field, Tuesday, in what was a great day for the future of Lobo baseball. With the entire current team, which features 12 players from the state, and many former players in attendance, the university began making improvements in what it hopes will be just the first of many phases of the renovation. UConn Announces Plans for New Stadium


STORRS, Conn. (January 31, 2012) — The University of Connecticut Division of Athletics has established “Stadium Enhancement/Construction” funds in the sports of soccer, baseball and softball. San Diego announces Facility Improvements

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – At today’s celebration announcement, Ron and Alexis Fowler were recognized for their generous gift to Torero Athletics to help kick start the Drive for Torero Success Campaign for USD’s revised Master plan for Recreation, Intramurals, club sports and Intercollegiate Athletics. In front of special guests, friends and Torero Alumni, USD announced the first element of Phase I of the build out of the Drive for Torero Success, the renovation of the baseball facility. It will now be known as Fowler Park in honor of Ron and Alexis Fowler who have given a matching gift to Torero Athletics to start this process.
