Mississippi State announces Dudy Noble Field Master Plan

CTBradfordSTARKVILLE, Miss. – Mississippi State Athletics unveiled the Dudy Noble Field Master Plan on Tuesday, an ambitious $40 million facility project that aims to remake the Bulldogs’ home ballpark into the finest in college baseball.

The Jackson, Miss., design team of Wier Boerner Allin Architecture and national baseball stadium experts Populous, in consultation with MSU alum Janet Marie Smith, has produced the proposed Dudy Noble Field Master Plan concept. Populous has designed 20 of Major League Baseball’s current 30 ballparks, in addition to TD Ameritrade Park Omaha, home of the NCAA Men’s College World Series. Temple Baseball To Play Conference Games at Campbell’s Field

PHILADELPHIA - It is a new era for Temple University Baseball, so it is only fitting that the team will be playing in a new stadium.

Entering its first year as a member of the American Athletic Conference, Temple University today announced it will play all but one of its home conference games at beautiful Campbell’s Field, home of the Camden Riversharks.

both Starkville (Oct. 14) and Jackson (Oct. 15), giving fans the opportunity to provide feedback on possible renovations and expansion of historic Dudy Noble Field.

UT-Arlington to Upgrade Baseball and Softball Facilities

DarinThomasUTArlingtonARLINGTON, Texas – UT Arlington softball and baseball players will have clubhouses and training facilities worthy of a world-class, collegiate program by January 2015 as a result of a $5.5 million softball/baseball complex expansion and renovation plan.

The project will add a softball field house to Allan Saxe Field, home of the UT Arlington softball team, and a field house to Clay Gould Ballpark, home of the baseball team. The work also will include field improvements and upgrades to the sound systems and bleachers at the complex, off Fielder Road and West Park Row in Arlington. Curtis Granderson pledges money for New Stadium at UIC

UIC_thumb.jpgCHICAGO – University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) alum and current New York Yankee centerfielder Curtis Granderson has pledged the funding for a new multi-million dollar baseball stadium on the campus of UIC. The facility will be home for Flames Baseball, but more importantly, is intended to serve area youth and the Chicago community. Partnerships with Major League Baseball (MLB), Chicago Public Schools (CPS) and various youth organizations will provide access to the aptly named “Curtis Granderson Stadium” for a multitude of events. Campbell announces plans for New Stadium

BUIES CREEK, N.C. – Campbell University Athletics announced plans for its new baseball facility on Monday, Jim Perry Stadium.

According to a statement released by ASU Athletics, Arizona State has decided to cut ties with the Cubs and the City of Mesa, both of which were originally involved in the negotiations of a move off-campus to the Cubs soon to be built spring training facilities. SEC Fall Checkin: Vanderbilt

After being eliminated in a close game by NC State in the NCAA Regional early last June, the Commodores are back with something to prove. They bounced back from a 1-7 start in 2011 to finish 35-28, then won six more games in the postseason.
