Interview With New Mexico State Head Coach Brian Green

This is Green’s first head coaching position as he returns to his alma mater where he played in 1994 and was an assistant in 1995. Below is an excerpt from the interview. New Mexico State officially names Brian Green as Head Coach

UKBaseballLAS CRUCES, N.M. – New Mexico State University Athletics Director Dr. McKinley Boston announced on Friday, July 25 that Brian Green will be the 10th head coach in NM State baseball program history.

Green, a graduate of the 1995 class at New Mexico State, comes back to his alma mater after coaching for six seasons as an assistant at Kentucky. In 2014, he directed the best offense in college baseball and in Kentucky history. Green was UK’s offensive coordinator and infield defensive coach.

Longwood names Ryan Mau as Head Coach

FARMVILLE, Va. — Longwood University Director of Athletics Troy Austin has announced the appointment of Ryan Mau as the fourth head coach of the Lancers’ tradition-rich baseball program. Mau, with 12 years of collegiate coaching experience, has been an assistant coach at the United States Naval Academy for the past four seasons, serving as the recruiting coordinator, as well as the pitching and catching coach.

“Ryan has established himself as a tireless recruiter and a stellar coach,” said Austin. “I have quickly come to learn that he has a passion for developing young people and a strong desire to lead the Longwood Baseball program. Rhode Island names Raphael Cerrato as Head Coach

CerratoURIWith the sudden departure of Rhode Island head coach Jim Foster to Boston College, College Baseball Daily has confirmed that the Rams will name Raphael Cerrato as the new head coach. Cerrato served as the top assistant to Foster for the past three seasons with the Rams after serving as the head coach at Division 2 power New Haven for five campaigns.
