TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Indiana State men’s baseball team has announced the schedule for the 2015 season. In 2014, the Sycamores were 35-18, including 14-7 in the Missouri Valley during the regular season and earned an at-large bid into the NCAA Regional in Bloomington, Indiana. It was the first season for head coach Mitch Hannahs as the Sycamores look to improve upon that in 2015. A total of 56 games are scheduled, with 28 games in Terre Haute, and 28 games away. SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The 2015 Missouri State baseball schedule will feature a total of 56 games, including 24 home dates and match-ups against seven different 2014 NCAA Tournament teams, head coach Keith Guttin announced Friday. In all, the Bears will play 25 games against 12 different opponents that rated among the top 100 RPI-finishers a year ago, including 14 contests against NCAA Regional qualifiers.
Highlighting the Bears’ campaign will be non-conference home-and-home sets with in-state rival Missouri and Big 12 foe Kansas, as well as a three-game road series with two-time national champion Oregon State. Vincent Citro drove home the game-winning run with two outs in the bottom of the 10th setting off a celebration 45 years in the making. Siena rallied from an early 7-0 deficit to shock #28 Dallas Baptist and the rest of the College Baseball World with a wild 9-8 victory Saturday at Lupton Stadium in Fort Worth, the program’s first in NCAA Tournament play.
