The first story today is Villanova’s Matt Szczur will be missing this weekend’s series against Georgetown as he is starting to take medication for a bone marrow donation he will be giving in the next couple of weeks. The New Mexico Lobos have started the season off well but San Diego State is standing between them and a bid to the NCAA Tourney. There is a major showdown between Pitt and UConn this weekend which could go far in deciding who will be the top seed in the Big East Tourney. The Merced-Sun Star has a good article on former high school teammates Brett Mooneyham and Dylan Floro. All four of the ACC schools located in North Carolina are currently in trouble of missing the 2010 ACC Tournament after they have struggled throughout the year.
